To ensure that our programs align with critical state and national standards, the School of Education uses Tk20's Campus Tools for Higher Education to monitor and assess the progress of our candidates. This tool helps address the needs of our candidates, graduates, faculty, and college through access to the following features:
Candidates for the Multiple and Single Subject programs need to purchase a Tk20 Student Access Kit at the Customer Service desk in the El Corral Bookstore. This is a "one-time" purchase, with account activation good for 7 years. Instructions on how to activate your Tk20 account are provided on the Access Kit.
MS and SS courses will require you to use Tk20 for specific assignments, especially the Performance Assessment for California Teachers (PACT) Teaching Event, which all credential candidates must pass to earn a credential. Important: All PACT assignments are scored ONLY through Tk20.
With Tk20, you will be able to collect, track, and retrieve coursework with ease throughout your program in one central Web-based location. You may also develop electronic portfolios or field/clinical experience binders to assist in your career searches.
All Cal Poly users need to use the Tk20 single sign-on link in the My Cal Poly Portal to access their Tk20 account.
Cooperating teachers will use Tk20 to subject student teaching evaluations, and PACT scorers will use Tk20 to submit all PACT assessments. To access your Tk20 account, login here: http://tk20.soe.calpoly.edu/ using the username and password provided to you by the School of Education. If you do not know your username or password for Tk20, please email the SOE Tk20 Support Team at soetk20@calpoly.edu.
After completing your program, the SOE Tk20 Support Team will send you an email with your username, temporary password, and instructions for accessing Tk20. These emails are sent at the end of every quarter. To access Tk20 after the completion of your program, login here: http://tk20.soe.calpoly.edu/ using the username and password emailed to you.
